We took the Near North tour on September 18th, and my husband & I really enjoyed it! Our guide, Jen, was just wonderful! She gave us a lovely tour of three local neighborhoods (Gold Coast, Old Town & Lincoln Park), giving us bits of information on the history, architecture and local events in each. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic---you... more

My boyfriend and I went on the Wicker Park/ Bucktown food tour on September 18th and loved it! Filled with food, history, culture, architecture, politics, and local insight, the tour was an absolute highlight of our trip to Chicago. Initially, we weren't sure if it was going to be kind of goofy, but it actually was a very informative, entertaining... more

We did the Food tour on Sept. 5, 09 and found it very informative and interesting. Even the other people on the tour were funny and friendly. We discovered some interesting stores that we never would have known about. But remember to buy your oil and spices on the tour because you'll have hassles trying to go back i.e. parking,... more

Having grown up in the city, but now living in the burbs, we wanted to explore an unfamiliar area of the city. The tour guide was friendly and informative and provided a very enjoyable experience. Besides visiting restaurants, we briefly walked through a residential area to learn a little about the architecture of a few of the houses. Here are... more

My first time in Chicago and enjoyed this tour very much. I wished I had planned it earlier in my trip so that I would have enough time to go back to the merchants and shop more. Otherwise, our tour guide Caroline was great, informative and as she described herself, a "Chicago art history nerd". We started at the Jewish... more

We spent Labor day weekend in Chicago and wanted to try something different than the usual Gray Line Tours. Wow, we had a great time doing the Old Town tour with CFPFT. Our guide, Caroline ,give us good insights of the various neigborhoords we visited, the architecture, had great stories about Hugh Efner's mansion and simply made us at ease... more

The strengths of this tour are the chance to visit suburbs that a tourist doesn't normally get to see and the most wonderful architecture. Chicago is just amazing for it's wonderful buildings. This was a highlight. Unfortunately even though the food is mainly of good quality it does not provide enough food to be considered good value for money. For... more

This tour is an absolute must. Great food and extremely informative culturally and regarding the architecture of the neighborhods we visited. Jen is a great ambassador for the beautiful city of Chicago. She was personable, knowledgeable and just plain fun. Check this link out Jen in terms of the Wizard of Oz trivia we saw along the way in the... more

We did the Northern tour and it was very good. Excellent for taking pictures of unique architecture in the old part of the city. I wished we did the Bucktown too, but it was not available at the time so maybe next time. Highly recommend. more

We did the Bucktown / Wicker Park tour and it was great. Jess was our guide and she was very friendly and informative. I only booked this tour since it ranked so high on this site as an attraction and my wife was not too happy. We both enjoy cooking so I thought it would be good. Well, we were... more
