My teenage son and I went in June 2009 before the viewing deck was open and it was still the Sear Tower. We enjoyed the sites from above. We did not get there as early as we would have liked. We got there at about 9:30 a.m. We waited for about an hour. The movie was interesting while we waited,... more

You can't beat the view, and the new ledge is a neat experience. Go early and beat the crowds. more

I recently visited the newly renamed Willis Tower, and while the experience was good, I wouldn't recommend it if you are only in Chicago for a short time. I live about 90 miles west of Chicago and go into the city about every-other month or so, usually for a Cubs game. I hadn't been to the tower since I was... more

We went early (9:30am) Friday, Sept 18. We were shocked as there was NO line. Walked straight to the ticket booth ($14.95), straight to the movie, straight to the elevator and straight up! Views are amazing and then you turn the corner and see "The Ledge". These glass boxes are so cool. While your heart skips a beat on the... more

...but I've learned my lesson to check TripAdvisor before visiting ANY tourist attraction. I figured "it's the Sears Tower... you go in, you go up, you look around, you come down." BOY was I ever wrong! I swear, before I visit anywhere, part of my preparation is coming here to read reviews, just so I know what to expect, good... more

My wife and I, along with two friends (one from Las Vegas and the other from New York City) went on the Labor Day holiday weekend. Yes, we had to wait in line. Yes, that wasn't at all fun. But we knew what the views were like up there so we had patience, something many on here seem to be... more

I recently went there. I loved looking all over Chicago. I would highly recommend going to the Willis Tower. I would suggest getting there early because of crowds. It might take some time if there is a lot of people. Before you go up to the top. They show a movie, then you go on an elevator to the top. more

Willis (formerly known as Sears) Tower is all hype. A previous reviewer was 100% spot on with the descriptions of the lines -- the line from the street level to the elevator to get to the line to get to the security checkpoint (akin to TSA screening at an airport) to get to the ticket line to get to the... more
