Was in Chicago for two days and wanted to have some fun and see some of the nightlife the city had to offer. Everyone was telling us to check out Buddy Guy's Legends and I'm glad we did! The food was pretty good at a great price... mostly cajun food, yum! And the music was FANTASTIC...it started at 9:30 and... more

I was recently in Chicago for a week and spent a few evenings enjoying the blues scene. Buddy Guy's Legends is an enjoyable evening if you can ignore the rough edges. Buddy Guy plays quite often during the month of January when he isn't on tour and this was one of those nights. If you want to see him, you... more

Visited on a Thursday night while on a vacation to Chicago. We didn't know what to expect, and ended the evening so glad we had come! The band was fantastic and the cover charge ($10 that night) was well worth it. The food was quite good. Door staff was friendly. Some folks were dancing at the bar, but we stayed... more

Buddy Guy's Legends is a great place to hear live blues music. I understand they have live music every night of the week. I was there on a Friday night for dinner and drinks. At approx. 5:00 p.m. there was a man playing guitar and singing, and a couple bigger acts started around 9:00 p.m. The food is New Orleans/Cajun... more

Staff is rude. Place looks no good. Security threaten innocent customers. Bartenders only know how to make simple cocktails. Bizarre, angry staff is a reason to avoid this bar. more

Buddy Guy was playing live at his place to sold out crowds. I decided to go and see if I could get in to see him since this will be the last time he'll be playing here. The University of Chicago bought the property and he'll be moving to a new location in 2008. Luckily as I walked in I... more

My husband and I love this place! We have never been disappointed by the bands booked there. If you love the blues, you MUST go there. A bit of trivia - In the movie U.S. Marshalls starring Tommy Lee Jones and Wesley Snipes, the young Marshall who gets shot is wearing a t-shirt from Buddy Guy's Legends! I realize this... more
