One of the last free city zoos in the United States, Lincoln Park Zoo is a great economical family attraction. Zoo enthusiasts might find it to be small and a little plain, but its not a bad way to burn a few hours. Highlights are the polar bears, bears, big cats, and primates. Aside from that, the other exhibits are... more
This is not a huge zoo, but it is very well curated and continuously upgraded. It is particularly known for its gorilla breeding program but all exhibits are first rate. In town for a medical conference and brought my family. Went to Lincoln Park Zoo one afternoon and my kids (5G and 3B loved it). Like others said, better than most that charged admission. Lincoln Park is quite a charming area and I would highly recommend this visit if you had children. It was a <$10 cab ride. more
