I did enjoy the Lincoln Park Zoo, especially since it was free. It was a nice way to spend a few hours without having to spend a dime. more

One of the last free city zoos in the United States, Lincoln Park Zoo is a great economical family attraction. Zoo enthusiasts might find it to be small and a little plain, but its not a bad way to burn a few hours. Highlights are the polar bears, bears, big cats, and primates. Aside from that, the other exhibits are... more

This is not a huge zoo, but it is very well curated and continuously upgraded. It is particularly known for its gorilla breeding program but all exhibits are first rate. The only unfortunate thing about it is that tourists cannot reach it directly via rapid transit. If you are in Chicago at the holiday season, don't miss the Christmas light... more

We took the #22 bus from Marina City for $2 each. The zoo is free. We stopped first in the Conservatory which was really beautiful & well maintained. A section of it was being decorated & was not open to the public, but when we told one of the staff that we were from out of town she let us... more

Got married in Lincoln Park on 8/8/08. We went to visit the Polar bears while waiting for the minister to arrive. Hey, how many people can say that the whole zoo was invited to their wedding???? more

This is not the best zoo I've ever been to but for the price you can't go wrong. I don't think this is a must see unless you are looking to kill some time or save some money! We found that parking in a self park on a side street & walking about 10 minutes was the cheapest, we paid... more

In town for a medical conference and brought my family. Went to Lincoln Park Zoo one afternoon and my kids (5G and 3B loved it). Like others said, better than most that charged admission. Lincoln Park is quite a charming area and I would highly recommend this visit if you had children. It was a <$10 cab ride. more
