We did a speedboat ride with Seadog from Navy Pier and it was excellent - one of the highlights of our trip to Chicago. The guide was very entertaining but the star of the show was the speed in that boat. Well worth the money - next time we are going to try the "extreme" version! more

If you're looking at the 1/2 hour "speed boat ride", you'd better think twice!! You don't want to spend the more than $25 ticket price for a condensed slow boat tour and you'll be happier doing something else with your money. We were in town with 2 teenaged boys right before the 4th of July. Navy Pier does fireworks each Wednesday evening in the summer. We took the Sea Dog "cruise" which was a blast. The captain was a lot of fun.....they play loud music that the teenagers like......they drive fast and make sharp turns. Would definitely do this again. more
