I have been there twice in the last 6 months and loved it. Its a hike to walk out all the way to the end of the pier, but it is worth it. The views of the city from there are incredible. This recreation area has something for everyone. They even have some local shops inside inside it, which were... more

Road the big Ferris Wheel, goes around one time great view of the city, cost is $6 per person, plus they take your picture at the end for an additional charge, price is high for spin around but really enjoyed. also went on a tall ship that goes out of Navy Pier, with a Pirate and he tells wonderful true... more

Navy Pier was a great option on the Go Chicago card. We stayed six nights in July. We did something every day but one at Navy Pier. The boat cruises were great. Do the architectural river cruise to learn about the buildings and get a feel for the layout of the city. The ferris wheel is a must for both... more

My family and I went to Navy Pier during our recent stay in Chicago. We really liked it. It is a great place for people of all ages. It was very well maintained, clean, and safe. They have 3 rides and they are suitable for people of all ages. We took an Oddessy boat cruise and really had a nice... more

Having lived in San Diego for several years, I was expecting a classier scene. Navy Pier has nothing but carnival food (deep fried everything), chain -junk food restaurants, a beer garden and a decent view of the lake and the downtown Skyline. If you are not taking one of the Tours that depart from this Pier, stay away. Save yourself... more

Navy Pier is a classic American fun spot that blends street food, carnivals, boat rides, people watching and souvenir stands. Yes, it's a bit tacky. More than a bit tacky. But if you have enough time in Chicago, give it a visit. (Don't fall for the souvenir stands, though - overpriced and junky.) My husband brought his camera and snapped... more

My six-year-old daughter and I recently visited Chicago and this was one attraction on our "To Do" list. We both love being by the water so much and this place did not disappoint. We went in the middle of September and the weather was just perfect. There are plenty of things for little one's to do at Navy Pier. There... more

Even my boys, ages 9 & 11, did not like this place. There are so many other worthwhile activities in Chicago. I would not waste my time with this one again. Over-priced, and over-hyped. We did not ride the ferris wheel, which might have made it worthwhile. DO NOT send kids into the Fun House!! My kids are not afraid... more

My husband and I walked around Navy Pier on a foggy Saturday morning, before the crowds hit, and enjoyed taking everything in. It was a pleasant enough walk, and a nice place to sit down and marvel at the fog, but we weren't impressed with the pier as a destination in itself. (As a side note, we were somewhat surprised... more
