Not worth the hype or a trek out just for the Pier. If you have a chance to get a hold of a bike or rollerblades, then Navy Pier is a scenic stop on the a ride which should include Millenium Park, Grant Park, Museum Campus, and then the Lakefront (or in reverse order, depending on which direction you start).... more

For as many people who go to this place on a weekend there are not enough bathrooms and the ones they do have are small and far apart. And the lines for food are crazy long! We didn't spend as much time there as we would have liked. more

My husband and I brought our two children ages 5 and 11 to Navy Pier during our visit and we had a great time. The kids got to go on a few rides and it was nice being near the Lake and watching all of the boats. There is also a Mcdonalds there outside so it was a good spot... more

This place is like a giant mall food court with booze. Everything is just a bit overpriced. Getting there by water taxi was more fun than being there. more

I found this place a nice place to hangout with the wife & daughter for four hours. The walk on the pier, the many shops, great Imax movie theatre, Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, boat trips, ferris wheel, merry go rounds, lots ot attractions for all the family. The only downfall is that they charge $24 for parking. We parked on... more

Eat a big dinner and dessert before you get here. It's nothing but lines and overpriced food. The Ferris Wheel was fun for first timers to get some great photos of the city. more

Great attraction in the city, may not be a must see but a fun stop for a stroll and a bite to eat. Every Wednesday & Saturday during the summer there is a fantastic fireworks show at 10pm. Arrive early as the prime spots were packed up early. more

Not a big deal - you can easily miss this and do something else on your list, but if you have a free night, it is nice to wander around. Food is not great here, but cheap :-) - more a place to see the night skyline of Chicago, go for a stroll and relax. more

Uh McDonald's , if you bill yourself as a family oriented value experience, charging $6 for an 8 week old to ride on your "sponsored" Ferris Wheel is the dumbest thing that I have ever heard of. Seriously, City of Chicago and the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority, get with the picture guys.... Be warned parents of under 2 year... more
