A waiter at McCormack & Schmick's gave us a tip about Blue Chicago. When we opened the door to the place it was immediately apparent that we were in for a real treat. It's a small place but the cover was only $8. We saw the Shirley Johnson Band. Absolutely incredible. The quaint venue allowed you to connect with the musicians. They could see you & talk to you. Blue Chicago is the best blues club I've ever been to in Chicago. The bands are always good, 9 times out of 10 you will get a female singer playing with the band. The staff is great as well, you always get really good service. I have no complaints with this bar, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! more

I went to Blue Chicago at about 1am with some friends. We seemed to be annoying the bouncer that charged full cover even though they closed shortly after we arrived. The bouncer was VERY RUDE.
