You don't need a car to get here. Metra Electric provides excellent service from Millenium Park to the 115th Street station. Best buy is the $5 weekend pass. Also on the South Shore Line from Indiana (same station). Walk east, neighborhood begins at NE corner of 115th/Cottage Grove and runs up to 111th. Neighboorhood is OK. Pullman is not a typical tourist site - it's a living, breathing neighborhood. There aren't many signs, no costumed interpreters or labels on the buildings. But if you do some homework - read about the founding of the town, the labor movement that started there, the significance of the different types of housing - the town will come alive for... more
