My husband and I were very suprised by the history inside the House of Blues. Not only is it a concert setting, but the art work, artists, rooms inside the HOB,but the people that work there are very knowledgeable about the redoing of the HOB. Famsous photos are all over, We had a fantastic time, and would come back. Thanks... more

I was at the HOB on Sunday night August 30th to see the Reverend Horton Heat and Motorhead. I bought tickets to a show that was billed as "General Admission" which to me means....first come first served! But not at the HOB my friends. I was outside in line at 6pm for a show where the doors were to be... more

Went to the House of Blues Chicago for the first time this past weekend to see Aaron Neville. I was nervous about going due to some of the negative feedback from other posts. No reason to be nervous. The staff was excellent. All were friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was wonderful. The musician playing in the restaurant was very... more

My fiancée and I made the five hour, overnight, trip to Chicago last September specifically to see Richard Cheese (look him up if you're not familiar - he's great!) in concert at the House of Blues (we were dying to see him, and it was his only stop in the midwest). We decided that since we'd never been to a... more

My husband and I went to Chicago 6/13 to 6/16 and took in the Gospel Blues Brunch on 6/16. We have been to Chicago for several years and LOVE the House of Blues but had never done the brunch. We had a great time, the food was fabulous and the event was well organized. There was only one downfall which... more

We went to the House of Blues Gospel Brunch in mid-March. We were able to purchase tickets the same day. Staff were courteous and pleasant. The venue is definitely worth seeing...lots of folk art & funky decor throughout the whole place. The entertainment was fun...audience participation added to the our enjoyment. We got up and danced with the audience...go with... more

My hubby and I are spending a couple of days here in Chicago and wanted something to eat. It was a little after 10:30pm. Walked in the HOB, first of all there was a $10 cover charge per person. Found a booth to sit in, waited atleast 20 minutes to be served. Not one but two servers walked past us... more

My husband and I spent 4 wonderful days / nights recently in Chicago. It is a superb place to spend a few days. I had booked the 'famous gospel brunch' in the house of Blues for Sunday. It was the most awful experience. One queues , firstly even to get into the venue, then to get the ghastly food and... more

I thoroughly enjoyed the music and would recommend this as something to do if you want a different Sunday morning in Chicago. The food was better than the average tourist brunch. My only recommendations are that if you can get a group of six , request the box seating. The "pit" seating is on the floor next to the stage.... more

We felt we were taken advantage of at the House of Blues' Gospel Brunch. We were in Chicago for the 4th of July Weekend. We booked the HOB Gospel Brunch tickets online well in advance. When we arrived we were made to wait for an hour as the staff prepared the so-called "brunch." We were led into the HOB theater... more
