Found staff to be helpful, we checked in rather late but that did not cause any problems. Rooms were of a very good size with two queen beds and a double sofa bed in the lounge area. Very modern and clean. Excellently situated for Navy Pier and the bus for downtown stops at the back of the hotel. Agree with... more

I could sleep under the stars in a sleeping bag in downtown Chicago (actually, I have....) and it would be great. With the world's greatest food and the best city skyline, anyplace is terrific. The view from my hotel room here is among the best I've seen in Chicago: Tribune building, Wrigley clock tower, Trump tower, Sears tower (or whatever... more

We loved this hotel! We are huge fans of Embassy Suites anyway -- and this one didn't disappoint us. We took Amtrak into town so we didn't have to worry about the parking price -- but you will pay that price anywhere you stay downtown. What I loved the most was the location. You are so close to things --... more

I was in town for the weekend with my mom and two daughters for our annual girls trip to Chicago. I had tried to book the State St. Embassy Suites, where we stayed last year, but they would only let me use my Hilton points at this location. We arrived in the morning and pre-registered for our room where they... more

I highly recommend the Embassy Suites Downtown lakefront. The free breakfast in the morning is amazing, as are the free drinks during the manager's evening reception. The location is great, between Michigan Ave and Navy Pier. Rooms are very large, especially for downtown Chicago. Parking is expensive, but it's that price everywhere. Pool is small, but you are not staying... more

My husband and I arrived for a 3 night stay, in town for a huge convention during which room rates are inflated all over town. This is a very nice Embassy Suites, comfortable, convenient and I have no complaints about our room, service or any of the usual Embassy Suites amenities except that internet access is only available for an... more

We booked the Conrad hotel for 2 nights but when we arrived we were told our reservation had been changed to the Embassy Suites Lakefront. We didn't feel too happy about it but the staff were extremely helpful, they arranged a taxi to transfer us (and paid for it) when we arrived at the Embassy Suites the staff were expecting... more

Stayed for 6 nights in April. Features include big, clean rooms with comfy beds. Very good bathroom and shower. Very elegant inside and out. Very good location, 1-2 blocks from bus routes. Breakfast was the highlight for this trip (really good omelette's). Dominick's located across the street, Walgreen's and wine store behind the hotel. Need to improve: remote control did... more

My daughter and I went to Chicago for Easter w/e via The Cleveland/Chicago Megabus. We arrived in front of the train station on Union Avenue. We stayed at the Embassy Lakefront. The hotel was beautiful and the majority of the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, two rooms with a plasma tv in living room and a... more

My 16 year old daughter and I stayed at the Embassy Suites Lakefront in Chicago for four nights over Spring Break in April 09. What an awesome experience we had! We arrived a little early and expected to wait to be able to get checked in but we were assigned our room immediately. The room was perfect. I am more... more
