My 2 friends and i were visiting Chicago for the Riot Fest and decided to stay at Rays as it was pretty close to all the venues. What a place, so relaxed, the staff were brilliant, offered to help with anything. The 2 girls who cooked our breakfast were amazing, the food was delicious, and having to serve 3 guys... more

My wife and I stayed at Ray's the first three and last three days of our honeymoon roadtrip, in the Da Vinci room. We stayed in quite a few B&Bs during our trip, so were able to make some good comparisons. Despite staying in some great places, Ray's was the best. The small staff of Ray, Jessica and the two... more

I traveled to Chicago early this month to help my college age daughter move into her apartment. After reading the reviews here, I decided to try a B and B for the first time. I ended up traveling to Chicago with my two daughters, ages 20 and 10. Due to illness, my husband was unable to make the trip with... more

We stayed here for a week while visiting Chicago. The room we had was very spacious and had a really great shower, lovely after a long day sightseeing. Breakfast was incredible, the food was plentiful and very nice. The two cats Rocky and Maggie were nice company to have while away from home also. The location of the B&B is... more

My husband and I have raving reviews about Rays B & B. We stayed there for 3 nights in July. Ray and Jessica were extremely accommodating, so as much, to supply hairsprays, lotions, shaving cream, to make our travels lighter and easier by plane. We were served breakfast in bed 3 mornings in a row without hesitation. The staff and... more

We stayed at Ray's for 4 nights in May and really enjoyed the company of fellow reviewer BradSydney63 and other travellers over the amazing breakfasts served up to us each day by Ray and Jessica. We stayed across the road in a room with bathroom and only had to share the large kitchen and lounge on one night. It was... more

After much research I chose to stay at Ray's for 5 nights on my recent visit to Chicago. What a great choice I made. I stayed in bedroom# 2 in the Annex, just across the road from the main house. It was a big, comfortable room with a huge bed and cable TV. There is a shared bathroom on the... more

What a great litle place to stay. Rays consists of 2 separate houses, and we loved it. Fantastic cooked breakfasts and a nice start to the day meeting other guests. Our room had big TV and all facilities, and accross the street in the other house is a sauna and steam room. There are a few communal rooms as well,... more

I would stay at Ray's again just for the breakfasts! Made to order every morning with lots of fresh fruit and baked goods. Unfortunately, my wife turned out to be allergic to cats, and we had to check out a day early and move to a downtown hotel. Otherwise, we would have stayed here for the saunas, free wi-fi, etc.... more

This place is great! It is certainly not a stuffy place, but if you like people then this is the place to go. Ray and his staff are amazing and the breakfasts are unlike anything else. more
