You can't beat the location. While the B&B on a quiet side street, it is only a block from all the services a traveller would need including a subway stop that is only 1/2 kilometer away. The space is huge in comparison to hotel standards, and we didn't hear a thing in our rear suite. The only things that could... more

I've stayed with my family at the Flemish House (one entire week, from July 28 to August 3). Flemish House is one of our favorite place in the US for housing. Many A++++ criteria, and no con's at all ! The house in itself is a must-seen in Chicago. Located in a quiet and beautiful street, Flamish House is decorated... more

I booked this apartment after reading the great reviews on Trip Advisor. It is a lovely place. Best of all is the location. Within walking distance to all the sights, yet on a quiet, leafy street. But at the bottom there are dozens of trendy bars, restaurants and shops. We'd recommend Bistro Zinc and The originla Pancake House. The Magnificent Mile... more

This guest expressed an interest in the cats, and we thought they would enjoy their attention. The cats are, in-general, rarely in the guest rooms and we respect guests that are allergic and/or voice that they don't care for felines, in which case our "two guys" are not allowed out of the owner's residence during that guest's stay.

My wife and I have just spent two nights at Flemish House and we could not praise it too highly. We stayed in a very spacious studio on the ground floor which was extremely well equipped and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was an extra ten dollars, which represented great value for money, muffins fruit juice, bananas, cereals, yoghurts, filter coffee and... more

We stayed in the Garden Suite for 3 nights in May 2007. We arrived early in the morning hoping to drop our bags but Mike was kind enough to have juggled some reservations to make our room available at 9:00 am. This was much appreciated after an early flight. The room was large and very nice. The bed was quite... more

We found Flemish House through its high rating on TripAdvisor but should have paid closer attention to the description 'apartment B&B.' A better description is 'short stay' apartments or efficiency units. While the two apartments we rented were quite nice, the location was outstanding, and Mike, the host, was very friendly and helpful, there were no 'comforts of home' common... more

Tom and Mike provided a really warm welcome at Flemish House despite the temperatures outside being the lowest for 11 years! The building is ideally located a couple of blocks north of the Hancock building. It would take months to visit all of the restaurants, bars and attractions within half a mile of Flemish House, yet E Cedar street itself... more

We stayed at the Flemish house for five days, not nearly enough. Tom and Mike were the perfect Hosts. The rooms are beautiful yet practical. The location could not be beat. We were able to walk to all downtown and Rush street locations. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else the next time I visit the greatest of cities. more

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful stay at The Flemish House of Chicago. This is a lovely mansion in a great, convenient-to-everything neighborhood and the accommodation is gracious and comfortable. I highly recommend staying here. more
