I just stayed with my family in the Old Town B&B. Overall, it was a very nice stay, and the location just cannot be beat. Although true that the property abuts the El, the house is pretty well insulated for sound, so it didn't disturb us. You definitely could hear it go by, but with the windows shut eventually it... more

Chicago in the Winter, Our stay at the Old Town Bed and Breakfast made all the difference. In the middle of February our group of nine (9), decides to make a trip to Chicago, 7 of the 9 are 17 years old or younger, and some have never been out of Oklahoma, Which is where we are from! Elegant, clean, comfortable, convenient. We rented the entire house instead of 4 hotel rooms and were very pleased. While sightseeing, shopping and eating was the reason we came, spending mornings and late evenings with family in the comfort of a home instead of a hotel lobby or cramped hotel room was our goal and this place was perfect. We found... more

We booked our stay directly. The house is as appears on website. Lots of stairs to climb, 4 levels. We had a very unpleasant and uncomfortable experience when a simple request was made (needed 2 sets of sheets for the available roll away beds). Owners interogated us and were verbally insulting in the company of our small children. I have... more

This was a four night whole house rental (exclusive use of the 3,250 square foot four bedroom, four bathroom guest house). The visit took place over the July 4th weekend. The group was to consist of two married couples, one in their sixties and the other with six children ages 5, 8, 8, 10, 13 and 15. Based on the...

B & Bs are always our choice of accomodation when travelling so we feel qualified to rate this one as outstanding. First of all we agree with everything that was written in the first review posted. Secondly, this B & B is non-smoking.....not a trace and I am sensitive. The place is beautiful and immaculate with wonderful bedlinens. Our room... more

Old Town Chicago Bed and Breakfast is everything its publicity promises and so much more! The decor and guest spaces are outstanding; well-done, memorable, expansive, and a terrific value. We've stayed here numerous times and always recommend it to our friends. The hosts are genuinely friendly and knowledgeable-- they ARE Chicago. The Art Deco and mid-century furnishings are fabulous. You... more

The Old Town B&B states they are three stars....hardly. The proprietors smoke, not a very B&B activity. The building directly joins Chicago's famous "L"--elevated rail--and this is noisy! The rooms themselves allowed you to hear the neighboring guests activities--I was awoken on a Saturday at 6:30 AM. My room had no bath. The breakfast is ultra cheesey----generic English muffins, generic... more

Mr. R. from California booked this reservation for a six night stay in late October 2004. The reviewer accompanied Mr. R. but did not participate in payment to us. We charged Mr. R. $125 per night (not $175 per night as the reviewer states) as the time was slow and the stay was long. Mr. R. was initially distressed that...
