The hotel is quite old, and it shows. The room was strangely laid out, but was nice and large. We had a small fridge, microwave and coffee make which were convenient. it was nicely located down town, half a block from the lake, and a $3. cab ride the the nice shoping areas and resturant. had the switch rooms when i got there. the windows were only partly covered by the unattractive curtians and there was a parking garage 6 feet away from the building... the bathrooms were all brand new... more

We visited Chicago by Amtrak on a limited budget to see the symphony and a basketball game. We had a great time and overlooked the negative things. We received a good value for the money. We might stay there again. more
