A horrible experience. Ancient, slow elevators, surly desk staff, uncomfortable bed, lots of noise in hall, avoid at all costs. more

Very close to the Loop. Furniture is a bit dated, but comfortable. Great free wireless internet in rooms. Very nice Thai restaurant in the house, or a cheapy fast food place with friendly staff. more

My daughter stayed here and brought home bedbugs. Check the mattress before staying here. I know bedbugs have become a serious problem in American hotels, but they are an expensive, aggravating and horrible problem when you get them in your house. The hotel offered her a free stay in their hotel as compensation! I am advising her not to go... more

Travelodge downtown Chicago was very accomodating, the front desk was great with directions and any of our many questions. There were two restraunts, both were good to eat at and the Chicago carryout was pretty reasonably priced as well. more

The Travelodge Downtown was a happy accident many years ago. We have found a hotel downtown that does not cost a fortune, is half a block from Michigan Avenue, Buckingham Fountain and Grant Park. We like this location because we can take the subway to/from O'Hare and have only a block walk to the hotel. Then we can take the... more

This was our second stay at travelodge. This second time, we had a much nicer room with a city view. This hotel is for the budget minded because the carpeting is old and the furniture is dated, but the bathrooms are updated and well lit. I never felt the hotel was dirty, just worn. We've stayed at two of the... more

This is one of very few low priced hotels in downtown Chicago. The rooms are rather worn and the furniture is dated, but you get a fridge and a micro. Beds are fine. Internet worked great. My only real critisism is the noisy elevated Red line which runs just outside. Don't expect to get much sleep if you're a light... more

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my mom and sister. We found the room to be clean with unexpected amenities such as a refridgerator and microwave. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the bellman, Lester. He helped us get on the correct bus and helped us with our luggage. I can't wait to go back and... more

My wife and I wanted to see Chicago and needed to be on a budget to afford everything else so we booked a week here. We had room 1235 (top story on end of building) so we didn't get a lot of noise all week. The staff at desk aren't very knowledgeable so just ask people on the street for... more
