My friend and I were able to use some of my husband's accumulated Marriott points, and we were given a room with a terrific view of Chicago looking west. The hotel lobby, although incredibly noisy, was furnished with all manner of couches and tables (decorated in sort of a 1960's theme). It was obvious that many hotel guests were attending... more

Overall I didnt think this location was as great as people are saying it is. Since I was there for a trade show the rooms were way over priced and I didn't think they were worth it. Checkin No problem. I did notice one night they had a long line since there were only 2 people checking guest in for... more

This hotel is right on Magnificent Mile . You step out of your hotel room and you are there on Mag Mile. Kenneth Cole is right next to your door. The staff was overly accomadating to us. We requested an early check in and we got it, having arrived on a Megabus at 5 in the morning. We requested a... more

No horror stories here. Although "official" check-in is 4 PM, they had my room ready at 11 AM on a busy Friday. The single-king room was small but not claustrophobic and certainly comfortable. There's an exercise room (open 24/7) and a small pool on the 10th floor. There's also a small Kinko's/FedEx on the 2nd, but they charge $.50/min. to... more

This is a conference hotel - plain and simple. As a Silver status Marriott traveler, I was unimpressed with the room that was given to me. I'm not sure it could have been any smaller. When I asked if there was a larger room, I was told that "they're all the same." I don't buy that answer. The bathroom was... more

I recently stayed for 2 nights with my mother and my 2 children. We were on the 37th floor and could see Lake Michigan and had a view of Michigan Avenue. The kids loved it! We had absolutely zero problems with service from check in to check out. My only complaint is the price of parking which is not unique... more

I stayed at this hotel notwithstanding the reviews about service because I got a good rate for a conference. That would be the only reason I would recommend anyone to stay there. The best thing about the place is the location. It's in downturn Chicago and if you are high enough you get to see Lake Michigan. Yet walk out... more

I was pleasantly surprised at my experience after all of the reviews. I just returned from a conference at this hotel and almost stayed somewhere else given what I was reading about the hotel. Fortunately, the 109. conference rate kept me there, and it turned out to be the perfect site. I will qualify what I say by starting with... more

The Marriott outsources the valet parking to a company called InterPark. I gave a $5 tip both ways, and apparently it was not good enough. On returning my vehicle, my coin holder was depleted. I contacted the hotel management office and they are very polished in their response, but don't count on any help. The Marriott knows about the issue... more

I stayed there 3 days for a conference. My company paid $209 a night. The hotel is clean, convienently located and the service from the staff is excellent. The rooms were okay, however the mattress was very soft. Other people I talked to at the conference mentioned the same thing. Internet access was pricey, $14.95 per night in the room.... more
