On a recent trip to Chicago I left my purse in a cab in route from the airport to the Hyatt Regency Hotel. I am truly grateful to the staff of the hotel for all their help in tracking down my bag. Everyone, from the manager, to customer service, to the security personnel were truly above and beyond what I... more

I can't comment on rates since I receive a discounted conference rate. The hotel is older but well updated. The walls do seem rather thin as I could hear people talking but they were also speaking rather loudly. If you don't mind walking you can easily go to Navy Pier and reach the lakefont. The El Train is about a... more

The hotel is situated on the river, it seems a little older, has a great view and is within walking distance to many great attractions. It's a few blocks walk to the 'El train' which will take you directly to the airport. When checking in, however, they wanted to charge $100 per day for incidentals (phone, mini bar, room service).... more

After reading some less than stellar reviews about this hoetl, I was a bit concerned about this hotel. But we got a great deal bidding through Priceline, so that offset my concerns. My wife and I went for a long weekend at the end of June along with another couple, our good friends. The hotel exceeded our expectations. We arrived... more

I live in the Chicago suburbs. We decided to use Hyatt points to stay downtown rather than dealing with traffic after the fireworks and taste of Chicago crowds driving back. Our room was on the 32nd floor, the view of the river, lake, and Navy Pier was beautiful. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the bathroom had... more

With the exception of some billing issues and the fact that this hotel is notorious for overbooking, we had a lovely stay. The hotel is huge. Two towers and about 2,000 rooms. We had approx. 40 people in our group and we were spread out amongst the two towers. There were people in our group I didn't see again until... more

I recently stayed at the Hyatt with my 2 children age 6 and 10. We were upgraded to Club level access with Jr Suite. Our room was a great size. One King size bed with a couches and a side chair. We had 2 large flat screen tv's and a mini fridge. The only down fall was that we only... more

My husband & I live in Michigan and wanted a quick inexpensive get-away to Chicago. So I started with bidding on priceline for 4-star hotel room in the Grant park area for $60 per night. To my surprise, priceline accepted my bid at Hyatt Regency. The Hyatt has done a good job at keeping the hotel looking "modern" and there... more

The hotel was full, but not once did any of the staff appear to be too busy to assist our group with our requests. We attended a program about customer service; the Hyatt staff were great examples. For a business trip, the location, the conference rooms, restaurants, bar, etc. were great. Downsides were charge for internet service if accessed from... more

We booked this hotel through on Hotwire and paid $89. For $89, this is a great hotel. After we got this hotel, I looked up the rate on the hotel's website and was quoted $289. This hotel is not worth $289. A number of people have complained about the location of the hotel. There is no perfect Chicago location for... more
