you will wait like five hours and food served is HUGE. Go with a determination. BYOB and they do not carry ANY alcohol. I mean ANY. more

This place has a lot of positive sides, but unfortunately a few negatives. Food is always good and my favorite is the El Filet (2 good size filet mignon steaks with spinach mashed potatoes). Also, since this place is BYOB, you can enjoy a good steak with your favorite wine for a very reasonable price - about $50 for dinner... more

My friends and I were there this past weekend on Sunday, our table time was 7:30, I think we sat down in a dark crowded noisy table at about 8:15p.m., why have reservations then? The candlelight provided no ambience and could not read the menu. The bread was warm but hard, the water and soda was warm, Then it took... more

Had an enjoyable dinner at Tango Sur this past Monday night. I've read lots of negative feedback regarding the long waits at this restaurant, but my party of 2 was seated immediately (I did call ahead and have my name placed on the "wait" list and this may have helped). We enjoyed the delicious Empanadas-all of them were excellent-beef, chicken... more

Gosh, were do I begin?! First off, I live in Chicago (for 16 years). I have heard all the hype about this place, but have never bought into any of it. Honestly, I have never had any desire to go here; but a friend of ours was having his birthday dinner here (about 2 weeks ago). There were about 16... more

Went to Tango Sur last weekend. Called and were advised there was a 90 minute wait. Arrived at 7:45PM and put our name on the list. At 10:45PM, still were not seated (had asked numerous times how much longer it would be; were told repeatedly it would be "10-15 minutes more". Kitchen closes at 11PM. We weren't the only ones.... more

Now, the food stuff. The menu, I remember, had a great variety of things to choose from. This place would be a perfect neighborhood restaurant, because there's so many things to try. Any person would be able to enjoy something on this menu. Even their appetizer list had tons of things to enjoy. It would take several visits to this... more

First off..our steaks were excellent and near double the amount we could possibly eat after ordering the antipasto and another appetizer. Why BYOB? This place could make a fortune if it sold wine and liquor. Antipasto was simple and straight forward(no oil or dressings)-2 ham,1 cheese,1 salami, and black olives(not the most flavorful). Assorted rolls and butter were placed on the... more

Tango Sur has to be my all time favorite restaurant in Chicago, and anywhere for that matter. This Argentine restaurant serves up HUGE portions at a very reasonable price. It's funny, everytime I have a birthday my husband always asks me where I want to go for dinner. After 5 years of marriage, he's stopped asking me as I always... more
