My own Cheers - I'm a regular. I know you'll like it too. Great home cooking, very nice people forget the main dining room, head to the huge porch or enjoy the lively bar scene... kid friendly! Try the ribs, pulled pork or catfish - really great. Nice salads too and lots of comfort food... this is not bar food... more

Calamari was good, the mac and cheese was a little cheesy for me, but good, burger and fries great as they should be. Overall food was pretty good. Service was good. Outside seating was available it was just too hot the day I went to sit out there. more

I had heard good things about this place had even seen a local commercial. The sevice was ok, the waitstaff that is… I ordered the catfish (over seassoned). When I got the bill they had charged me .75 cents for tartar sauce. I asked my waiter about this charge and was told that this was a automatic charge, I asked... more

One of my favorite late-night spots in Chicago. Serves great food till 3am. Their cajun meatloaf sandwich is an awesome value. The drinks aren't crazy expensive either. Service away from the bar can be a bit inconsistent though, but at the bar, you find out how great they take care of ya here in this bustling neighborhood joint. more

The bloody mary bar on Saturday and Sunday is my favorite! Sometimes the service can be slow, but all the employees are really nice, music is great, and it always has a fun atmosphere. I've tried a lot of menu items and enjoyed them all. more

I found this place about a year ago. The restaurant does great home-cooking and soul food-type dishes. The service and decor in the restaurant is ok but the food always hits the spot and there is a great beer list to support it. Has a great bar attached to it too, and i also hear a good garden bar. Set... more

Pizza of mush, good for those without teeth. Don't worry that they don't have salt on your table, they put every grain of it into their low quality cuisine, although I use that word sparingly for this overrated mess hall. more

Wow! For the 18 years I have been working here we have always been known for our healthy homestyle cooking. We used healthy fry oil [Canola] way before it became PC. As for salt we only use it sparingly in our homemade bread and Country Mashed Potatoes NO other recipes. This person has a bone to pick with us but...

I was born & raised in Chicago but now live outside of Seattle, WA. I was regular patron of the FireSide for the past 20 years and can say you will not be disappointed with a visit there. The FireSide is in a neighborhood setting in the Andersonville area approximately 4 blocks west of Clark Street and 5 blocks north... more
