Bring your appetite. We had a bit of a wait on a Thursday night, but went faster than expected. The spinach and mozarella sticks were really good as well as the Bruschetta. A friend and I shared a small flat crust pizza and couldn't eat it all. Beware, the flat crust has tons of cheese (personally I perfer it that... more

At the Ginos East off Michigan Ave. Dirty tables. We moved three times to find a clean table. They seated other people where we were & they moved too. We were about to leave & the waiter came- so we reluctantly stayed. More expensive than Giordanos, smaller pie. The crust wasn't good, the whole thing was awful. Giordanos is good;... more

Gino's is in Granger, IN in the marvelous Heritage square. I expected a flavorful, deep dish, wonderful crust pizza. disappointed on all counts. Crust was unbaked in center, tasted of baking soda and sugar, and artifically colored yellow! It did not have the height that I'm accustomed to for deep dish pizza. It was not yeasty and the texture was... more

Recommendations, Arrive Early, during the week it is not so bad, but on a Friday or Saturday night, the place get's busy due to its popularity! Deep dish pizza takes awhile to cook (about 45 min) so order an appetizer (The wings were really good, and so is the spinach artichoke dip with bread!) We ordered Pepperoni, Sausage and Mushrooms,... more

Whenever I go to Chicago I make sure to stop in on Gino's East. I always get the Four Cheese and love it. Had just viisted Lombardi in Little Italy, NY - does not compare. Gotta love the deep dish. Also we split the family style salad that was good as well. more

We had a party of six, so we did the family style salad, which was very good. Four people shared the Chicago style pizza, and two shared a thin crust. Everyone thought the pizza was great. more

When my friends and I went to Chicago we made a point of finding authentic Chicago deep dish pizza somewhere. I am so glad that we chose Gino's. The atmosphere was great- feel free to write on the walls, or even the seats! The service was decent (even though we didn't leave until about 10 minutes before closing) and the... more

For my first trip to Chicago I had to have the authentic deep dish pizza. We first tried Lou Malnati's after friends had recommended it, but were disappointed with its mediocrity. Luckily, we were staying within walking distance of Gino's, so we decided to give the deep dish another go. We ordered a small half sausage (patty), half cheese for... more

At least I can check "sample Chicago style deep dish pizza" off my to do list. I thought the pizza was vile. The soggy bottom was better than the 1' thick flavorless crust at the side. Is it just a can of stewed tomato chunks that covers the top? It is not the flavor, texture or appearance that I am... more
