Chicagoans do not eat here. This is hype. There are so many good restaurants in this city, to waste your time on "Deep Dish Pizza" is just that - a waste of time. Dined here on a Friday late afternoon with wife and two teenagers. Enjoyed a large pizza and salad. Excellent food, great service. Got right in at this time, although there was a line when we left. Great atmosphere. more
The crust is the best. I have been coming here regularly since 1968 and have tried many other places with an open mind but there is no comparison. Express lunch is a great deal. I tell everyone visting that they have to eat here. Pearl more
There was 30 minute wait for table but they had us order while waiting because the pizzas bake for 45 minutes. Sure, you'll have a wait, but when the pizza arrives, all is forgiven! The crust comes out very crisp and crusty on the outside, toasted perfectly, with a buttery bisquit (almost) texture, and a slight cornmeal dusting.
