VTK has great food and a trendy atmosphere. The crunchy shrimp app was great and the red curry chicken was a bit watery (but great flavor). My fiance had the pad thai, which was very good. The best part of the evening was the dessert, you must get the souffle!!! Service was also very good, but if they try and... more

I stumbled upon this place one night while walking in the River North area. I'm a big fan of Thai food and was intrigued with the modern, upscale look of Vong's. Prices were perfect. Almost all entrees were between $12 and $18. Cocktails were some of the most affordable (and tasty) I had while in Chicago. Service was friendly and... more

VTK was the best thai food we have ever experienced. The "world's tiniest dessert menu" is a great idea for trying different sweets at an excellent price. There is a great atmosphere, plus the service is great as are all the meals. If back in Chicago, will definitly be back to Vong's! more

I cannot say enough about Vong's. The concierge at our hotel recommended it and it lived up to his ravings. The interior is ecclectic and bold with some Far East accents but not overwhelmingly so. You are greeted with a marinated cabbage salad even before you order. At the recommendation of the waitress, we had fresh fruit martinis, which were... more

We were walking on our way to dinner and stumbled upon this place. We were pretty hungry, so we decided to take a chance and dine here not knowing anything about it. The ambience and decor was very nice. The waiter was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. We shared the beef tenderloin satay, the shrimp and pork fried spring... more

I went to this place twice in one week for the fresh spring rolls (excellent) so tasty and the sauce served with them (wow). I had seafood curry one night for dinner and it was very nice. The smells just hit you when you walk in the door. I sat at the bar both times and had fantastic service from... more

We ordered mixed up variations of things on the menu and the staff accomodated our weird requests. Beef Coconut curry was awesome with the beef sitting rare on top of the curry instead of mixed in - you saw and tasted the quality of the meat. we tried tempura crab fritters, steamed veg & rice and coconut chicken soup (... more

We came in at about 9pm and I thought it was closed because all the bamboo blinds were rolled down. I was surprised to see the place packed-- like sardines in fact. The wait wasn't that long though, and even though the seating arrangements are very close to each other that you really have to squeeze through another person's chair... more
