Whenever I visit Chicago, I make it a point to eat at Gene & Georgetti's. The steaks are out of this world and the service is good. more

This is an old school restaurant. Service is nice, atmosphere is nice. Meat quality is good but not great. I was a little disappointed. If your in town and want an old school place then its ok. Worst steak I've ever eaten. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Ruth Chris, but this was the worst meal I've ever eaten - and one of the most expensive. I ordered my fillet medium, but the steak was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. My wife ordered hers medium rare and it was overcooked. All 4 of us... more

After visiting their site I thought I would have a nice dinner in a cosy place. Instead, I found myself in a restaurant with a dirty entrance and a tired interior. We spent our 2nd anniversary dinner here. We had a reservation and were seated right a way. We had a nice table upstairs and it was not crowded. The service was great. Unless you order meat your dinner doesn't come with a salad, which is fine because the salad they would give you is quite literally a pile of lettuce and one piece of tomato.
