this place deserves a 3.5 rating. it's between average and above average. carson's sauce is pretty impressive. it's super sweet and tangy on the side, but on the ribs it cakes and chars at the same time and makes a truly great glaze. however, the meat quality has faded a bit over the last 5-8 years. they used to utilize... more

I used to live in River North.. Every day, I would walk by this mysterious building that houses Carson's. Outside, a bright yellow sign tells about it, at the bottom, it notes that Carson's has "Sophisticated Carry-out Packaging" ... That always made me chuckle. The other night, my partner and I were hungry and wanted a quick to-go meal... Ribs... more
