My first time there, had coffee at the counter. Charge was $2.51. I would rate the coffee on a par with McD's. A "warm, cozy" place. Earlier in the day I enjoyed coffee at Intelligentsia. Less $$$, and far superior. I see a Porkbelly's next door - that would be better. more

If you want to experience a great first trip to Chicago, or you are back home visiting, go to Lou Michell's. After a brief and chilly wait (well worth it), my son and I entered the warmth and friendliness of Lou's. This is the worst breakfast place in Chicago. Don't even bother going. The food was bland and the servcie was bad. more

totally bland food completely overated they do give you a lot but it's just not very good more

Breakfast. This is a old school diner. The staff only leaves when they die. watch out for the eggs, they are double yoked so one egg is more like two. The omlettes are very large. Their baked goods are great. They do server lunch, but I'm not sure what they server. This is a cash only place more
