This is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. The food is pretty good, not great, but the atmosphere is second to none. Lively interior with bright colors and upbeat music. A wee bit trendy but not over doing it. On certain nights they offer live music and I've seen dancers from time to time. Japonese Brazilian fusion at its... more

I'm not a total traditionalist when it comes to sushi, but the mix of Brazilian spices and beef with sushi just doesn't usually work. Some of the sushi was an interesting fusion, but most didn't even resemble sushi. This might be an acquired taste... more

My fiance and I accidentally selected this restaurant because we were staying at a local hotel for his birthday and he wanted sushi for dinner.. From the MOMENT we walked in to the moment we walked out this place was SUPERB! Our waitress Jodi was supreme, our drinks were PERFECT, service was one step ahead at every moment (even the... more

I should have walked out when I saw the chair I was supposed to sit in - worn and covered in stains from years of spilled food, or perhaps something worse. But I was dazzled by the atmosphere and the good reviews (you can't always trust reviews). Unfortunately, part of the once-funky effect is unisex and open-to-the-world bathrooms, where the... more

I booked a table here for my wife's birthday while in town. When we arrived, the place looked kind of empty, which was initially worrying. We got over that. The manager greeted us by name, wished my wife a happy birthday and we were shown to our table, which was in a great spot. I'd describe the atmosphere as funky.... more

Go here for Sunday brunch and try a batida. The strawberry batida (blended with condensed milk and cachaca) is delicious. A bit pricey at $8.25, but worth it. You can also choose from Asian pear and acai. more

Good sushi but you really go for the atmosphere. The upstairs roof lounge is great in the warmer months. more

Went on a friday night with reservations. Still had to wait 15 minutes for table. Beautiful decor, but the ambiance was annoying. The food made up for it, excellent sushi, not exactly authentic japanese, but diffrent. We had the sea bass anticuchos, blew my mind!!! The best thing I have ever put in my mouth!!! Next time I go I... more

As a sushi fanatic, I would rate the sushi here as simply average. I was excited for our trip to Chicago to get some very good sushi, and choose this place for lunch on our hotel concierge’s recommendation. The atmosphere and décor is pretty incredible. The miso soup was a little variation with a sweet side that we enjoyed. I... more
