Being that I am half Sicilian and my husband is a director in the hospitality business, we are not easily impressed by Italian restaurants. The best Italian/Sicilian food I have had in Chicago. Start off with the "Famous Fried Ravioli". It is not "fried" but rather pan-sauteed in cream sauce. It is fantastic. The Spinach Ravioli Gorgonzola and Gnocchi Vodka Cream were out-of-this-world delicious, too. The restaurant has a true mom-and-pop authentic feel to it. This is rather terrible Italian food, although the Little Italy atmosphere somewhat makes up for that. The food is better than Olive Garden, and definitely more authentic, but the tomato sauce was more bland than I expected and some of the vegetables weren't very fresh.
