Le Colonial is just one of those places everyone has been. The ambiance and decor is amazing. Imagine yourself in a lavish french restaurant, but in the early 1900's Vietnam. Far deep corner table on beautiful upper balcony is best seat on the house if just the two of you; good spot to observe life on street. Great dark bar inside for crowd and shenanigans. Lower level too serious of an atmosphere for me. It's French/Vietnamese. What more is there to say? more

The food was good but it was pretty pricey for Vietnamese food. I love Vietnamese/Thai food. I go to Vietnamese restaurant about twice or three times a month. Came here to celebrate my birthday with friends. I had a great Pho-like dish, but with a curry based broth, seafood, and rice noodles. It was delicious but not enough "fix-ins" in the dish. Didn't feel full at the end of the meal. I've had this type of food before, but definitely thought it was overpriced for what it was.... more

I went to Le Colonial on a business dinner and it was very nice. We sat upstairs and had wonderful service, great food and wine. I will go back and next time I would sit outside in the wonderful looking pation on Rush street. more
