The front seems more casual (but you can watch the people going by on the sidewalk), and the back more formal, with interesting wall murals. We had the jazz brunch which was a pleasant experience. The food is quite average, but we enjoyed listening to the music. I think, however, I would try a different place for brunch next time we're in Chicago. more

Just went recently after many years. It has held up well. Still smells strongly of garlic due to the fact you get roasted garlic to put on your bread. Delicious. My tuna sandwich was wonderful.
