I've searched for years to find a place like el Gallo. There is no comparison... the burritos are excellent (even when a veggie gets an all-steak one by accident). But, you must be sure to love your burrito and never use a fork or knife on these beauties. And try the chips with a side order of sour cream. Ah,... more

This place is a legend with generations of University of Chicago students. Good, cheap mexican food that somehow tastes best around 3 in the morning. The burritos are unbelievable. Check it out. more
