Great view of Chicago's lakefront, and the lake. Wide selection of fresh seafood. We've dined here for years, and it's very consistent. This weekend I had Kumamoto oysters, which were one of six(6) species on offer. My main course was Dover sole, perfectly de-boned at tableside. The wine list is broad, and fairly priced. My partner and I had dinner at Riva on Saturday night 11/3 prior to a show at the Shakespeare Theater. We had reservations at 630pm that were made several weeks ago. I'm glad I ignored negative reviews posted at some other places. We took clients here Sat night and all 6 of us LOVED our meal. We arrived a bit late for our reservation (made at opentable) but were seated within 15 minutes. We couldn't wait in the bar because of smokers, but that will be outlawed by Jan 1 2008.... more

Spent NEW YEAR'S EVE at RIVA on Navy Pier and had a wonderful time. We arrived 20 minutes late and they still honored our reservations and gave us a lakefront table for four. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend this restaurant for both couples and families. GO RIVA! more

I ate here on Saturday night. The food and service were fantastic. I had the Lemon Sole special and my boyfirend had the T-Bone with horseradish creamed pototoes....ummmm!!!.
