I'd recommend this for any out of town visitor, a romantic evening with your loved one or a ladies night! Great food, great wine, amazing ambiance! more

Now that we recently moved back to the City, I ate at Geja's again after a 15 year hiatus (used to dine here about 3-4 times year then). Unfortunately, we were very dissappointed. Prices, of course, have gone up considerably - probably more than the rate of inflation. That would be ok, IF the dishes and service were at least... more

Ambiance? maybe. But if you've gotten used to a relatively healthy diet and then you go dip everyting you eat in oil, cheese & chocolate... you will be feeling it later! more

My husband and I have been here several times and had a WONDERFUL experience each time. If cooking the meat in the vegetable oil is too much for some people, they also have an option to cook the meat in chicken broth. It's still delicious- but so much healthier! This restaurant is absolutely the best fondue place I've ever been... more

So much grease, it was hard not to leave with a stomachache. Or without the smell of vegetable oil seeping from our clothes, hair and skin. Our booth for six was particularly cramped, and we had to elbow our way to the pots of boiling oil to "cook" our dinners. I had a medley of seafood; my husband had a... more

No comment on food, ambiance or anything else. The most unacceptable and disappointing thing happened to us. At arrival we used valet parking. My husband left his sunglasses in the car. When we arrived back home he noticed his sunglasses disappeared. No further comment on this. It's very disappointing to go out on an nice dinner and get home just... more

I've been here twice and had a flawless experience both times. YES, if you get a table it's a bit close to others, but you can see that ahead of time so don't be so surprised. If you want a booth when a table's offered, ask to wait for one to open (but don't be surprised if that takes a... more

After plenty of online research for a good restaurant to propose to my future wife, I finally chose Geja's. It was kind of risky because I have not only never been there, but I also don't know anyone who has even heard of it...even living near Chicago! I made reservations for a Friday night at 7, just about the time... more

Good food, but I would never want to eat there with the lights fully on. All that grease cooking on every table, it has got to be pretty dingy. more
