Went to Penny's in Wrigleyville. Service was excellent. Food was better. Fresh ingredients = good food. She had Tam soup which she raved about. I ordered Crab Rangoon appetizer. It was fantastic. She had a beef bowl that was good, but compared to the Hot Pepper Noodles with beef I ordered, her dish paled in comparison. Just moved to Chicago... more

You don't go to Penny's expecting authentic Thai food. There are plenty of other great places in Chicago for that. Penny's is decent, fast, convenient Thai food. It is not terribly inspired. However, we live around the corner from the one in Wicker Park (yes, it has several locations). We eat there when we don't want to spend much money... more

The food is just flawless at Penny's. I have never had a problem with their food and I have a very sensative stomach. I live 50 minutes away from Penny's and the drive into the city is well worth it. more
