three days after going there for dinner, i still can't get the chaat papri out of my mind. Everything was yum - and I didn't even notice it was all vegetarian. more

Was slightly disappointed- I guess my expectations were pretty high though. Good indian food- but the only really amazing dish was the paper masala dosai, which was an impressive size and really delicious. And the tamarind rice :-( meh. Had been so looking forward to it. more

One of the best Indian restaurants in Chicago nestled in Devon Ave. They have an incredibly good Dosa selection, which is a South Indian Crepe-like specialty dish. Vegetarians rejoice! more

http://www.udupipalace.com/ Have only eaten take-out but was very pleased with the flavors. There is a certain wonderful blend of spices that sets this food aside from most Indian restaurants. So far, I prefer Udupi over Hema's Kitchen. Udupi's food is not as greasy. If you order for p/u, ask the total amount of the bill. This will help to know... more
