I visted Marina Cafe back in 1999. Everything was great. The food, the atmosphere. I loved watching the boats and people. Inside the Cafe the owner kept the authentic look of outdoor which made me feel like I was off the coast of Main. When I went back in 2007. loved this place in 2005 and 2006, but this year it is a different story. For dinner, which is pricey at 25 - 27 with an a la carte salad, our salads arrived AFTER the main course! 2 of 4 dinners were missing at least one item (asparagus on the salmon with asparagus, etc). Lots of problems with the service.... more
I visited Marina Cafe, Chicago in the early summer of 2006. The restaurant was not very crowded but the service was extremely slow. It was a comedy of errors. Our waitress continuously apologized, but I do feel that this is a frequent occurrence. After a noticeably bad experience, the manager hesitated to even thank us for visiting the restaurant. more
