I love Meli and go there every time I visit Chicago. Be prepared to wait, but it's soooo worth it. We waited in the rain for 45 minutes but didn't mind a bit because we knew what was coming. Meli Cafe is in a neighborhood called "Greektown" in Chicago. Other Greek restaurants line the street. The cuisine at Meli is fabulous. You can eat breakfast, and lunch here. Good place for breakfast/brunch. Decent omelets. Not sure why this is categorized as Greek. Didn't find anything Greek about it. more
Absolute Yum. Great omelets. Great smoothies. Great potatoes. Great Pancakes. Service is pleasant but they like to turn over tables due to long wait- no lingering. Sidebar- they are stingy with the syrup. more
Great brunch place! An amazing selection to choose from..sweet or savory. I had the vegetarian eggs benedict (delicious!), my friend had a frittata, and another had a scrambler that were absolutely delicious. I recommend Meli’s Honey Cakes, a cornmeal-based pancake batter infused with honey. Drizzled with warm honey. Great coffee as well. more

The absolute best, freshest breakfast in Greektown. Lunch fare is great also. Be prepared to wait for a table after 9am even when it is snowing and cold. more
