We went on a Saturday so we waited in line for approx 1 1/2 hrs, but it was absolutely worth it. These artisan encased meats were everything they are hyped up to be. This is a must if you are in Chicago and are looking to have an awesomely delicious and somewhat entertaining food experience. more
saw this on the food channel and went on a whim. great dogs and very unusual foie gras, prime rib and atomic bomb ( really hot!) were all worth the trip. duck fries are only on friday and saturday, but the regulars raved about them. the regular dogs are excellent too..a real local experience. more
OK, I just waited 1 1/2 hours on a dreary, cold Chicago Saturday to eat at Hot Doug's. Guess what, I'd do it again. There is something really honest about this place. Not your normal hot dog. My sons had the basic Chicago Dog and a Corn Dog. They were good but my duck dog was great. Waited almost 1.5 hrs to eat. The Dog was the best dog ever! The Paul Kelly (beer brat) was okay. The duck fat fries were awesome!! Good dogs? Definitely. Worth the wait? Once. This place is in the 'burbs a bit, so drive if you can. We spent $30 getting there and back, and spent $15 on lunch. more
