McDonald's is certainly not your only option, though. You've got Corner Bakery all over the place, Big Bowl near State and Rush, food court in Water Tower Place, luxury groceries like Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Fox & Obel (the groceries have sandwiches, soups, salads, snacks, and lots of hot food choices), Ghirardelli if you want ice cream . . .

My point - Might as well enjoy something of higher quality that you can't get all over the world.

surely the last places you want to go eat is places of which there are thousands in the country you are from?! Especially when those places are McDonalds and Burger King.

McDonald's are everywhere in Chicago (although Burger King's are in the neighborhood, most of the ones downtown and along Michigan Ave. have closed).

There is one McDonald's that you might want to actually visit and that is at Ontario/LaSalle. It is an oversized McDonald's museum. But if want some good Chicago fast food, go across the street from there to Portillo's for Chicago Hot Dogs and Italian Beefs.

Yep...that would be the Rock n Roll Mcdonalds. If you like regular sandwiches, there are plenty of fast food places that sell those around the city (almost too many). Potbelly's, Panera, etc.

McDonalds are everywhere but Directly on the Mag Mile. They are just a bit. You could also try the Billy Goat, Boston Blackie's and Ed's Devebick's (sp?) for a good burger too. They are more sit down places though.
