 Overnight in Chicago- which suburb?

We are traveling from Florida to La Crosse, Wisconsin and will be traveling on I-90. Last year we stayed in Oak Brook area but is too expensive this time. We want a hotel in the $70-$90 range and are looking at either Schaumburg, Arlington Heights, or Itasca. Prefer a newer area with lots of restaurants and amenities. Which would be best? Thanks for your imput!

Schaumburg will give you more choices for hotels and restaurants - http://www.chicagonorthwest.com/

If we don't find anything in Schaumburg we like in our price range, what would be our second best option?

Arlington Heights - starwoodhotels.com/sheraton/… - is right off of 53.

I'm fairly certain that you'll find something within your budget in Schaumburg.

If you liked the Oak Brook area, try the Hyatt Place Chicago/Lombard. We spent a night there recently and it was pretty nice for $80-90. Good free spread for b-fast, and some decent restaurants right outside the front door. Also, just minutes from either Oakbrook Center or Yorktown Mall (in Lombard), for shopping, entertainment and more restaurants.
