 Chicago, -where to begin?

Ok, folks, I've never been to Chicago before.

I'm going there next week (to meet my new boyfriend. We are not dating long enough for me to stay in his parents home so I need a hotel.)

I want a place that is central so I can enjoy what the city can offer and get back to my hotel room with relative ease?

Obviously I need the best value possible :-) but location is more important. I can research price easily on orbitz or expedia but maybe you can help me choose better based on location

Several good hotel deals here - http://hotels.travelzoo.com/chicago-hotels/

You can read hotel reviews in the Chicago Hotels section of this website. Most hotels here are well located.

Better find out where he lives first, because Chicago is a very big city. You could end up too far from his house to make visiting any fun. I would not make any plans without consulting with him first, and this is just for practical reasons.

Thanks guys, I stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites at

216 East Ontario Street.

This was a great value location!

The room cost just $150 per night and the location was perfect for visiting the main attractions! The price was about half the average I found elsewhere and there was no reduction in quality or service

So was the visit successful? Will there be future ones? Don't leave us hanging, we are vested in this now. BTW, I love Boston.
