Anyone use it yet? Is it safe? I would be coming from Detroit but would like to get anyones thoughts who has taken it into Chicago from any of the Midwest cities.
thanks

A friend of mine took it from Cleveland to Chicago and said it was fine. Megabus originated in the UK so it's not a new concept, just new to the US. The earlier you book, the cheaper your fare is.
The Chicago Tribune just had a writeup on it in their travel section, sounded like the writer preferred it over Greyhound.
I just saw that they are adverstising $1 fares if you book online. There was a writeup about them in the Tribune a few days back.
The Megabus left me on the streets of Downtown Milwaukee because they were apparently overbooked, even though I had a completely valid ticket with me. They now have refused to pay the difference for the expensive nine-hour us ride that I had to buy last minute. The customer service is awful. Don't ride the Megabus unless you are fine with never reaching your destination.
My 19-year-old son went at Thanksgiving to visit his dad & step-mom in Minneapolis via the Megabus - and it was just fime. If I'm not mistaken, I think some of the buses have wi-fi.
He printed his confirmation letter off our pc and that is what they use as a boarding pass. You just have to be alert and listen to the driver's advice during any breaks, etc...
