Heartbreak Waltz is poignant and funny. Don't miss it! Amazingly well written, this play captures with startling clarity the way we might feel about our former or future selves. A middle aged woman is able to conjure up her 17 year old self, and we witness the dialogues between them as well as those people most important in their lives. I'll admit, this sounded on the surface like a sappy plot, but I was delighted by the story, the acting, and the effect this play had on me. It completely caught me off guard and I loved it!Heartbreak Waltz is showing currently at the Chopin Theatre on Division and Ashland. Right off the CTA Blue Line or a 5 minute cab ride from downtown.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the performance of Heartbreak Waltz on Friday, April 25, 2003. Barbara Carlisle has written an outstanding and memorable play. The play is thoughtful, witty and enjoyable. All of cast members were excellent, with our favorite being the young Louise. We highly recommend the play to young and old. We are hoping that it will come to South Florida so that we can see it again.Sincerely,Lori Breece
