This is a ballpark you won't ever forget - and it's not just because of the atmosphere but because of the great attitudes that Cubs fans have (the majority of them anyway... there's always going to be a few obnoxious drunks no matter where you go). Just got back from there today. I must say that its in a very neat part of town. I've been to the Cominsky Park (before it was US Cellular Field) and its just not even close to the same experience. Wrigley is old and original - the outs, strikes, and balls are digital on the board but what I found neat about it is that they made it digital but still made it look OLD and as if someone changes it. The digital playbacks and scoreboards aren't necessary... it can just be an extra bonus to see stuff over again. And boy is it great when the Cubs actually when because everybody starts singing "Go Cubs Go!!". You won't find that anywhere else!! And the Cubs fans are so nice... every time I go to a sport event or concert there always has to be somebody hollering and complaining and I must say I hardly heard any of that their. Just a bunch of content dedicated Cubs fans that came to root for their team who are happy with winning or losing. I had an elderly couple sitting next to me the whole game with their matching Cubs hats and the lady had Cubs earrings. At the end of the game the lady told me they came all the way from Alabama to see Wrigley Field because they had always wanted to be here and never did before. Its so great how many people from all over the country want to come to see this ballpark to root for the Cubbies (or just see the park in general)!!!

Also... I have to compliment on how, in comparison to other sporting events, concerts, etc. that I've been to, this place is pretty good when it comes to lines. The longest line I stood in was getting out of the place after the game and that's it. Getting a food or drink wasn't bad at all - the workers are fast!! And going to the restroom is quick -- I didn't see any lines going out the door like you'll typically see. I think the main reason why is that they have people monitoring the restrooms making sure people move faster. It just makes the experience even better.

I loved this old stadium and I felt it was so amazing to come here and see a game. I thought the seats were bigger than Fenway's! We had great seats and I loved seeing the traditions of the Chicago Cubs fan. I had no idea the Cubs had their own song.

If you're used to and like the clean and modern (dare I say sameness and sterile) modern ballpark, then this is not the trip for you or a family with kids. If you're willing to relax, maybe have an experience with an obnoxious drunk, be a part of a crowd (and be crowded) and enjoy the beauty of the field, you can enjoy yourself. My team (the hated "visitors") were thoroughly drubbed on our recent adventure. Doesn't matter. Here is an insiders tip. TAKE THE RED LINE. Parking around Wrigley is a joke. For a few dollars you get the real city experience, trains run regularly and everyone is going to the same place so you know when to get off the train. Get your tickets ahead of time. I've scalped for years and professional Wrigley scalpers are relentlessly hanging on to their tickets even after the game starts, for well over face value. Get tickets from stubhub if you don't have tickets. Be prepared (unless it is a sultry July/August day) for cool weather if you are not in the sun. Most seats in the upper deck and a vast number in the lower are never gonna get sun. Bring a sweater/sweatshirt unless it is going to be 78 degrees or more. Do you wanna look good or do you want to enjoy the experience??? Grab a drink or two or three before going into the game - inside tip folks: Salt & Pepper just south of Wrigley on Clark has cheap pitchers.

I am not a huge baseball fan, but I had a great time hanging in and around Wrigley. The streets around the stadium are filled with lots of fun places to hang out. It is definitely an experience I would recommend to everyone. And it is magic when the whole stadium comes together to sing 'Take me out to the ball game"! That made the night!

I am not a baseball fan, however this field could make me one again. Its old, doesn't have the ammenities of the New Yankee Stadium or CitiField, but who cares. The area around the neighborhood is great. Its filled with bars and restaraunts. We got there a couple of hours before the game and did a pub crawl. Thats something you could no do at Shea. Chicago fans are the politest that I have ever seen in any baseball stadium, football stadium or arena.

Even if you are not a baseball fan, this is a must see attraction if you are visiting Chicago.
