Wrigley Field is baseball as it is meant to be. . . . baseball, peanuts, popcorn, and cracker jacks! The field is SO close and is so amazing. Historically it is the second oldest stadium in the US, built in 1914. There are no distrractions to the game as at other stadiums, i.e. no playgrounds for bored children, no merry go rounds, no other forms of entertainment. When you are there, you are there for baseball. It is baseball at it's purest!
There are no large paved parking lots near the field. The surrounding neighborhood has shops, restaurants, and sports bars. Buildings on two sides of the stadium offer roof top seating for an unusual prespective. These are usually used by corporations, or groups.
Lack of parking may be the one negative, but many of the residents open up their garages during the games for a small fee, and there are buses to shuttle you in from outlaying parking lots.
Try to get in a game at the Friendly Confines of Wrigley when you are in Chicago. You won't be disappointed!
