My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for our first trip to Chicago. The location of the hotel is ideal for getting around the city, with plenty of local bars and restaurants, and the main shopping area just a short walk away. Red line tube stop is also a couple of blocks away.
Staff are welcoming and friendly, and the room was ideal for us - a good size, with modern fittings and free wi-fi. The king size bed was comfortable, and it was nice to have that little more space than you normally get, as all the rooms are actually suites with a sofa area and sink/fridge/microwave. Good shower too.
Breakfast was fine, although we did get a little bored of the same selection - not a problem if you are staying for a long weekend. At the price we paid, the fact that we had one at all was a bonus. Waffles were good, but they did seem to run low on fresh fruit during the mid week.
We used the pool and hot tub and found both to be clean and very quiet during our time there. The pool isn't great if you are planning on swimming lengths (it's very small), but the gym is there too, so fitness fanatics should be fine.
Our one small issue would be with the lifts, which use a really annoying access card system to prevent non-residents from getting onto floors. A good idea in principle, but more often than not, the cards just didn't seem to work first time.
We were very happy with our stay overall, and would definitely recommend the hotel for anyone who wishes to visit the windy city.
