My daughter-in-law had a conference at the Marriott. I came along to watch my six month granddaughter. We had a one bedroom suite and used every inch of bothrooms. Our room had a kitchen, living room and bedroom with two double beds. There was lots of room for the port-a-crib in the bedroom plus luggage. We used the refrigerator to store the baby food and breast milk. We used the microwave to heat the baby food. We had take out food for dinner the first night and used the dining table. There was plenty of room for the baby to play on the living room floor. We had free wireless for our two laptops. The breakfast was substantial. There were many restuarant choices within walking distance. There was valet parking which made life easy with all the baby stuff.
The only complaint is the room was worn. Dried stuff was on the wall. The appliances were old and the kitchen area needed work. Frayed carpet in the bathroom. Right next to the firestation so heard sirens. Highly recommend the Lincoln Park Zoo which was 5-10 minutes away by car. The hotel was easy to get to by car.

I really liked this hotel and it was one of the cheaper alternatives! Chicago hotels really are at a premium I found. This one was comfortable, very central with big rooms and helpful staff. You're right in the Near North area which is full of good restaurants and bars. I recommend the nearby Mexican place, Frontera Grill. One issue though is the fire station next door. It didn't keep me awake but I can see how it would disturb some people. Reception give out free earplugs if you want them though! Breakfast was simple but decent enough, and free so even better.

We stayed three nights in a “large corner suite”. These suites a very spacious with a large bedroom with separate sink, large bathroom (with two entrances), living room area with a decent pullout coach, full kitchen and a dining area. We had ample of space for a family of four. Although the room was clean it showed signs of wear. Baseboard heater covers falling off, tiles and walls at foot level damaged, and a garbage disposal that was very out of balance and was loud as a jackhammer.

The hotel was very nice and clean and has a friendly staff. The facilities are nice and the breakfast was decent. The location was great and centrally located. Considering Chicago hotel prices, for the price we paid it was a good value.

Many reviews of this hotel mention the fire station noise. It is true, but the numbers of calls vary per night, and when they did leave the station they moved quickly and the siren noise faded fast. We did use earplugs and this did help. My heavy sleeping son slept on the couch next to the window nearest the fire station and he did not wake once.

NOTE: All corner suites are located across from the fire station. Other categories of rooms have some locations on the opposite of the building.

Couldn't have asked for a better, more courteous, helpful staff. Were there for a week. Everything was great!
