The Central Loop Hotel is located in the financial district of downtown Chicago about 1.5 miles from Michigan Avenue. We found that we could go to the Navy Pier,Michigan Avenue for $7-$10 per taxi ride. It is not the Westin or the Omni but it was great for what we needed. We had a one room suite with a kitchenette. It had a over the range micro,u-line refer, two burner glass cooktop and a number of small appliances. We paid $115 per night. It was a bargin. The service was excellant. It was great for sleeping and being close enough to all the attractions that $115 a night was much better that $300 a night. You can take a lot of cab rides if you get my drift. It is worth your time to check out. Walgreens and CVS stores within a block of the hotel. There is also a 7-11 kitty corner and a Pot Belly sub shop two doors down. Pot Belly subs rule. Taste great and were cheap. This is a great hotel for the budget traveler.
