Stayed here during late Nov for three nights. Must concur with all the positive reviews on here. Excellent in every way with great location for Michigan Ave. Booked it on hotwire got a great rate which really added to the value that this hotel represents. Staff were really helpful with any requests we had. If you get a chance to stay here , do, you wont regret it

We just returned from a week of staying at the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower in Chicago for a business conference and this was an absolutely wonderful hotel.

The hotel itself is very modernly decorated in stylish furniture which gave it a very chic atmosphere. We stayed in a 30th floor suite and were pleasantly surpised by the size of our suite and the view from our room. We had a wonderful view of downtown Chicago and the water which was five blocks away - it was simply breathtaking.

What we loved best were the beds at the Sofitel - the down comforters and the down bedding used in the underlay made the beds feel incredibly soft and comfortable. The staff at the Sofitel were very friendly and were helpful during our stay there.

The location is convenient right in the heart of downtown Chicago where there are many restaurants close by to choose from - Mike Ditka's, Cheesecake Factory, Foodlife Food Court in the Water Tower Place (highly recommend). We were two blocks away from the main strip of the shopping where Banana Republic, Lord & Taylors, H&M, Neimann Marcus, Saks, Bloomingdales, etc.

Being away for a business conference for a week can be tiring but we really enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel because of the luxurious comfort of the hotel itself.

We would definitely recommend this hotel.

A 3 night stay in early november, 2005. I had a very nice suite for about $365/night, separate LR, large bath and nice BR. Ample drawer and closet space (unusual for Sofitel). Hotel services were good, except for houskeeping.

Sofitel uses the "European" bedding system, a heavy comforter upon a fitted bottom sheet, with no top sheet.

Request a top sheet and a blanket on the bed while booking...I did, but it was not done.

We stayed at the Chicago Sofitel Water Tower hotel from the 26th of October though October 30th. It really exceeded any expectations we had. We enjoyed our stay and we will recommend the Sofitel to everyone we know. From check in though check out your staff was wonderful! The room was beautiful. The view was outstanding. The room service was delicious. The bell men were wonderful and the staff at the desk could not have been more helpful.



Thanks everyone for making our stay so great. What else can I say but the Sofitel is Chicago’s best hotel and I hope to stay again in the near future.
