despite previous reviews about small rooms we found ours to be more than adequate 1501 on the top floor spotless to a t fine continental breakfast just 1 block off the magnificent mile easy walking distance from all the attractions for irish travellers fine food and drink at the kerryman bar just turn left outside the hotel and walk up to the rainforest cafe then turn right 2 blocks and there it is .the most spectacular scene is from the signature lounge in the john hancock building after dark u pay a few extra dollars on the drinks but the view is priceless and its higher than the observatory without an entrance fee and for the shopping macys and filenes basement down on state street are more comprehensive than those at the watertower end of the magnificent mile many great things to see and do in this lovely city has everything ny has only cleaner and quieter

I actually was a long-term guest of this hotel because of a large project at work. I enjoyed the stay for the most part...the staff was friendly and helpful but my big issue is the rooms. I've stayed here on four or five seperate occasions and I've had one decent room. Some of the rooms are tiny! And by tiny I mean 10 feet by 15 feet max. I usually get put on the upper floors (15-17) and I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not but there's hardly room to move around. If you were only staying one night and were a solo traveler, it'd probably be fine. However, I'm usually there for at least three or four days straight.

It's is a quiet hotel, which downtown is nice. However, if you open the window, you're immediately reminded that you're in downtown Chicago. That doesn't really bother me (I lived in New York for five years, Chicago for two) but keep in mind there is a fire station a few blocks away...and they're busy.

Overall, I'd recommend the hotel but not for a long-term stay. Parking is $25 per night, which is pretty standard downtown, but beware.

Our group of 20 PAX were accommodated at the Comfort Inn Hotel in Chicago for a week. First of all, the group sales manager Marc Condie was extremely helpful and effective in getting quotation and finalizing the reservation. He proposed upgrade of 4 normal rooms to 4 suits. When the group has arrived to the property, they were settled very fast and efficient. Our stay was great. We would be happy to deal with this Hotel as a corporate client in future.

I booked through lastminutetravel.com and this hotel came up as a 'secret location' option (where you're hotel isn't revealed until you are sent booking confirmation). The hotel was in a fantastic location, just around the corner from the subway and there is parking available right next to the hotel ($25 per night). The breakfast offered a lot of choice and in a buffet style whereby I could eat as much as I wanted to fill me up for a whole day exploring the city. The door staff are extremely friendly and helpful in answering questions about the city. I stayed two nights and towels and beds were made each morning after breakfast. The hotel rooms have internet available at no extra cost and although they are quite small there is a lot of storage space and an iron and ironing board in the room. I stayed on the 11th floor and had no problem with city noise and I couldn't hear noise from other rooms. I had a very pleasant stay and would absolutely stay at this hotel again.
